The process of a dental consultation
1. ARRIVAL AT THE CLINIC, ADMINISTRATION
When you arrive at Evergreen Dental for your appointment, the first step is a short administration process. On arrival, the first step is to complete an anamnesis form, which is designed to record any information about you that may be relevant to your dental treatment and to help the consulting dentist understand your medical condition.
It only takes 10 minutes to complete the anamnesis form, and if you have any questions, our coordinators will help you. An accurately completed anamnesis form helps dentists to provide you with the best and most personalised dental treatment possible.
2. ASSESSMENT OF YOUR CONDITION, DISCUSSION OF THE PROBLEM
Following the administration steps, you will be seen by your dentist, who will be able to discuss your symptoms and needs in detail. You will be free to ask any questions you may have and learn about possible treatment options for your problem. Our dentist will examine you thoroughly and, if necessary, take a 3D CBCT or panoramic X-ray and outline the best solutions for your problem based on these imaging studies.
3. DIGITAL DIAGNOSTICS
Digital diagnostic tools, such as 3D CBCT and panoramic X-rays, help your dentist to get a detailed and accurate picture of the current state of your teeth. Comprehensive digital diagnostics are particularly important for treatments such as implant placement, bone grafting, oral surgery, periodontal disease treatment, root canal treatment or gum exploration.
4. EVALUATION OF IMAGES
Digital diagnostic images cannot replace human knowledge, expertise and experience, but rather complement and support it. The dental consultation therefore continues with a detailed evaluation of the images, with the aim of providing both you and your dentist with a clear and unambiguous picture of the dental problems encountered. During the consultation, they will consider what the ideal solution to your problems might be and how they can be addressed in a way that is tailored to you and your ideas and capabilities.
5. TREATMENT PLAN
A personal dental consultation results in a written treatment plan. This document details the treatments needed to solve the dental problem and sets out the duration of the treatment course. The treatment plan will also include a written quotation detailing how much both the full treatment and each treatment session will cost you. This will give you full transparency and transparency on the cost of the treatment. You can discuss the finished plan in detail with your doctor and patient coordinator, who will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

If I have an acute problem, is it possible to start my treatment immediately?
Yes, we try to deal with acute problems immediately.
What documents do I need to bring?
On the spot, you will be asked to fill in the anamnesis form with some basic information, such as your ID card number and social security number. Please bring these with you or write down your numbers so that you can enter them on the anamnesis form. You do not need to present any documents at reception.
If I have old X-rays, can I bring them?
Yes, if you have an X-ray not more than six months old, please bring it with you.
How should I prepare for my first consultation?
Apart from brushing your teeth, there is usually no special preparation needed for the first consultation, but you may want to bring previous x-rays, medical records or a list of medications. It is also worth informing the practice in advance of any allergies or special needs.
How long does the first consultation take?
The first dental consultation usually takes about 30-60 minutes. The duration may vary depending on the tests required and the complexity of the case.
Should I come to the consultation with an empty stomach?
You don’t need to arrive for a dental consultation or treatment with an empty stomach. A normal meal is strongly recommended before dental treatment to maintain blood sugar levels.
What happens if I do not accept the treatment after the first consultation?
The first consultation does not commit you to accepting the treatment. The dentist will discuss any treatment plan in detail and you will have the opportunity to seek other opinions before making a final decision.
How much does the first consultation cost?
A general health check (with X-ray if necessary) costs €49, an oral surgery consultation with CT scan €129.
