We would like to inform you that on 1 July 2021, the EU’s single COVID digital certificate (EU CCD) system also entered into force in Hungary. Accordingly, EU COVID passport holders will enjoy the same level of exemption from pandemic restrictions as holders of the Hungarian protection certificate, and will be able to travel freely without quarantine obligations to the territory of Hungary.
Who is eligible to hold an EU COVID Pass?
- Anyone who has been vaccinated.
- Anyone who has a confirmed history of Covid-19 infection.
- Anyone who has a negative test result. Hungary requires one, not older than 72 hours negative PCR test result to enter.
It is also important to note that non-EU nationals may still enter the country with a medical referral issued by Evergreen Dental, subject to the PCR testing requirement.
